The Pulaski County Special School District has implemented a uniform policy for all elementary and middle schools throughout the district. Students are required to conform to this policy. Lawson Elementary has adopted the following uniform styles/colors:
Tops
- Polo shirts, short or long sleeved
- Turtleneck shirts or plain sweatshirts in winter
- Shirt colors should be solid burgundy, blue, hunter green, red, or white
Bottoms
- Belted waist pants or walking shorts (no cargo pockets, no sagging)
- Khaki or navy blue uniform style – no denim or cargo pockets
- Girls may wear skorts, capri pants, skirts or jumpers (with shorts underneath)
- Pants should be “uniform” style and fabric – knit pants are NOT uniform
Belts
- Brown, black or navy plain or braided belts with all pants that have belt loops
Socks and shoes
- Sensible closed toe shoes that are not distracting in brown, black or white
- No logos, lights or characters.
- No rubber boots, platform shoes or sandals for safety reasons
- Socks must be worn
