Dupree Elementary uniform policy

The Pulaski County Special School District requires that all students follow a uniform policy that is unique to each elementary school. Below you will find the uniform requirement for Warren Dupree Elementary. It is expected that you support your child following the uniform policy at all times.

Shirt and blouses
Solid Polo style red, white, or navy/light blue short/long sleeve shirts/collared shirts or turtlenecks may be worn (Sweatshirts and/or sweaters worn over the uniform shirts must be plain). No writing, designs, patterns, team names, etc…, except school logo.

Pants, shirts, shorts, jumpers, and skorts
Navy blue, khaki or black. If there are belt loops, a belt must be worn and the student must wear the shirt or blouse tucked in neatly. (The administration will discuss unique concerns with parents, and determine if an exception should be made). All pants and shorts will be cinched at the waist: sagging, low riding and cargo pants and/or shorts are unacceptable.
It is highly recommended that kindergarten students wear pants, shorts, skorts with an elastic waist.

Accessories
Do not wear jewelry that constitutes a safety hazard. Hat, caps, visors, and scarves may be worn outdoors only. The type and color of shoes and socks is left to the individual student and parents/guardians, with the exception of house shoes and flip flops, to ensure student safety.

Exceptions
If your child does not follow the uniform policy, you will be notified and requested to bring the appropriate clothing and shoes for him/her. Finally, your child is expected to wear the school uniform when participating in all school activities and on field trips.
