The Pulaski County Special School District provides bus transportation to all eligible students and to students with identified special needs. The transportation department is committed to the improvement of student achievement by providing these students with safe, reliable and efficient transportation service that contributes to their overall academic success.
Each day, more than 80% of the 17,500 students in Pulaski County Special School District are transported on 285 buses, covering more than 4.5 million miles a year. Safety is a high priority on these school buses and a group effort. Thanks to Pulaski County Special School District students, parents, teachers, school administrators, drivers and transportation staff, there have been no instances of school bus occupant fatalities during Pulaski County Special Schools’ history.
