The Wilbur D. Mills University Studies High School JROTC drill team competed at the North Little Rock High School All-Service Drill Team Championship Competition Saturday, placing in multiple categories and winning third-place overall.
Cosmetology students at SYLVAN HILLS HIGH SCHOOL participated in a charity event on February 14. Their clients were a group of young ladies with special disabilities from the Little Rock Parks and Recreation’s Therapeutic Recreation Center. The student’s had the privilege of doing hair, makeup and nails for the girls for the Valentine Dance they attended last evening at the center.
PCSSD would like to recognize and congratulate our Arkansas All-State Musicians. This past weekend the following students from Wilbur D. Mills, North Pulaski, Maumelle and Jacksonville high schools were selected to the Arkansas All State Orchestra, Bands and Choirs. What a great accomplishment. They have represented their schools and our district very well!
PCSSD Schools regularly practice drills to ensure that students are safe. Today at Maumelle High School, Principal Becky Guthrie partnering with the Maumelle Police Department and Maumelle Fire Department, directed a lock-down drill.
