Fuller Middle’s Principal Mitchell seeks to stop bullying before it begins

Principal Brent Mitchell of Fuller Middle School in Pulaski County said he takes proactive measures to preempt bullying.

Rix and Hall Scholarships awarded

On Tuesday Rick and Nikki Rix presented two scholarships to graduating seniors from SYLVAN HILLS HIGH. The Alicia Rix Scholarship was awarded to Courtney Barrentine and the Taylore’ Hall Scholarship to Jordan Jones.

Pre-K kids more likely to earn degrees

PCSSD awards scholarships to 10 outstanding seniors

The Pulaski County Special School District has awarded $1,000 post-secondary school scholarships to 10 of its outstanding students. The district received applications that were reviewed by a scholarship committee. Congratulations to the following PCSSD scholarship winners:

Brave Bates Elementary student rewarded for speaking up

When a second-grade student at Bates Elementary School brought a gun to school last week another brave young man named Thomas stepped in. As soon as he heard about the gun, he did the right thing and told an adult. The gun was immediately located and secured and the entire situation was handled safely and without incident.
