Promising Practices in Character Education announced for 2012; Maumelle High counselor named winner

The Character Education Partnership (CEP) recognized Mr. Marquis Cooper, Sr. and the “Our Story” Youth Leadership initiative as a 2012 Promising Practice. Mr. Cooper along with the other 296 recipients was honored at a ceremony in Washington, D.C., on November 3, 2012. Cooper presently serves as one of the school counselors at MAUMELLE HIGH SCHOOL.

Jacksonville High's Juke Box Band scores big in competition, headed to New Orleans

The Jacksonville High School Juke Box Band recently competed in the Carroll High School Battle of the Bands in Monroe, La, where they stole the show and brought home the Grand Champion Band trophy with an overall score of 98.9 points.

Simply Delicious is now taking orders for Thanksgiving

Let the students at North Pulaski High School’s culinary arts program, Simply Delicious, take some of the work out of preparing Thanksgiving dinner for you. Simply Delicious is taking orders for pies and rolls for Thanksgiving. On offer will be their famous rolls, as well as some of your favorite desserts. Everything will be prepared the week of November 12 and immediately frozen so that it will be fresh for you. Below is a list of the available choices and pricing.
