Banner year for Maumelle High golf teams

MAUMELLE HIGH girls and boys golf teams are experiencing a great year!

The MHS boys team won the district championship when the team shot 226 at the 4-4A Conference Tournament. (L-R) Senior Logan Joseph shot 84, Senior Eric Myers shot 74, Freshman Ryan Spurlock shot 73 (also named tournament medalist) and Freshman Caleb Kubacak shot 79. The team will play in the state tournament next Wednesday, October 3, at the Maumelle Country Club. Good luck guys!

The MHS girls team placed third in the 4-4A district. Team members are (L-R) Senior Vesna Petrovic, Junior Riley Rucker, Junior Sarah Pettit, Freshman Andrea Oates. Two of the team girls, Senior Vesna Petrovic and Junior Riley Rucker, qualified to compete in the state tournament, which is taking place today at the Glenwood Country Club. Way to go girls and good luck today, Vesna and Riley!
