AR Kids Read set to expand thanks to Reading is Fundamental grant

LITTLE ROCK, AR — April 4, 2017 AR Kids Read’s Read for Success program, an evidence-based program designed to improve reading proficiency and combat summer learning loss, has grown three-fold from its launch last year, which reached 600 students. This year, with the help of a $50,000 matching grant from Reading Is Fundamental, this AR Kids Read program will serve 2,000 children and will supply those students with a total of 16,000 books for home libraries. 

WHAT: Read for Success Program Announcement - A press conference to announce the growth of this program. State Commissioner Johnny Key will give insight as to how this program supports the R.I.S.E. Arkansas initiative.
